In this webinar, you’ll learn what an SBOM is, how it will benefit you, the misconceptions that exist around it and why it must be a key element of your software development life cycle’s (SDLC) security and compliance. In a nutshell, SBOMs provides visibility into which components make up a piece of software and detail how it was put together, so it’s easy to determine if it contains security and compliance issues. The SBOM has become imperative due to the White House’s cybersecurity executive order from May 2021. Effectively, if you want to sell software to the U.S. federal government, you need to prove you have a secure SBOM. We expect other regulated industries such as utilities, health care and financial services, as well as international, state and local governmental institutions, to also require compliance by demonstrating you are delivering trusted software via an SBOM.
